Breeding for health and temperament.
I fell in love with rats back in 2005 when I met my friends rescued feeder bin boy. I adopted my first two and my love has grown from there.
I first decided that I wanted to breed in 2010 when I realized there was a need for healthy bred pet rats. I spent two years studying genetics, temperament, health issues etc. I worked with friends and fellow breeders to learn as much as I could. In 2012 we had our very first litter. I've kept in touch with the families of our rats over the years to keep an eye on any health/genetic issues. I had a great group of rats and loved every second of keeping and breeding them but sadly after a health crisis and a pretty big move across country I had to put my plans and rattery on hold.
After a two year hiatus I reopened in 2016 with some of the descendants from my first litter and a few new faces.
I continue to breed for health above all else, great temperaments and a range of colors/coat types. Take a peak into our nursery to find your future rat or pop on over to our rescue page. I often take in rescues from all over or I'll have fellow rattery/rescues rats listed there with their contact info as well.
****I do NOT breed any rat I take in as a rescue or a foster, I only breed from my own lines or rats I adopt from other ratteries with pedigrees******
